Biography
Francisco Hernandez joined Gomberg Dalfen in May 2025 and focuses his practice on Canadian immigration law, particularly in the area of business immigration.
Francisco holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science (honours) as well as a Law degree from the Université de Montréal. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in International Law at the same university. His thesis explores critical theory in International Refugee Law and the contemporary governance of migration. His academic path reflects a strong commitment to excellence, notably through his experience as a research and teaching assistant in Constitutional Law. During his studies, he also completed a volunteer internship with the detention program of Action Réfugiés Montréal.
Before beginning his professional training at the Quebec Bar, Francisco worked as a Student-at-Law in Immigration Law at a leading international consulting firm. Deeply passionate about immigration, he completed his articling at a provincial immigration ministry, where he provided legal advice on contentious matters and represented the ministry before administrative tribunals. He also contributed to the internal training of government lawyers and public officials.
Francisco is fluent in French, English, and Spanish, and has a basic knowledge of Portuguese.
