Biography
Francisco Hernandez joined Gomberg Dalfen in May 2025 and focuses his practice on immigration and citizenship law.
Francisco holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science (Honours) and a Bachelor of Laws from the Université de Montréal. He also earned a Master’s degree in International Law from the same university. His thesis, awarded with distinction, offers a theoretical and critical analysis of international law and examines state methods of restricting asylum, illustrated through cases in the United States and Canada. His academic journey demonstrates strong rigour, especially through his role as a research and teaching assistant in constitutional law. Francisco is currently pursuing a Juris Doctor (Common Law) at the Université de Montréal.
Before beginning his professional training at the Barreau du Québec, Francisco worked as a law student specializing in immigration at a renowned international consulting firm. Passionate about immigration, he completed his articling at a provincial ministry, where he provided advice on contentious matters and represented clients before administrative tribunals. He also contributed to internal training for lawyers and government officials within that ministry.
Francisco is fluent in French, English, and Spanish, and has a basic knowledge of Portuguese.
